Adding to his awards as the Grand Prize winner of the Philippine Young Designer's Competition 2007 and Metro Magazine's Best Design for Accessories in 2007 is his first collection showcased in the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week 2009- Holiday Collection in Manila. Being a member of the distinguished faculty of Fashion Institute of the Philippines ( alongside avante- garde fashion designer and teacher JOHN HERRERA, and FIP Director Shanon Pamaong) Paul considers learningand teaching as his two biggest inspirations (www.fashioninstitutephils.com).


His knack for accessories really started when he was in college. Taking up Theater Arts (technical theater major) at the University of the Philippines in Quezon City, he would craft headpieces, breastplates, earrings, bangles and even wings for the several productions he was involved in. Now starting up his own line of bags and accessories which he has only one thing that he is most proud of: having received a comment from one of his students:
